Lauren Chanel is an award-winning LA-based writer and director from Virginia. She is the founder of a production company and her work focuses on capturing the present-day joy and minutia of Black life, for posterity. She publishes a weekly newsletter and produces a biweekly digital series.
Whether it’s for commercial ads, TV/film, longform digital video, or a viral dating app tagline, Lauren Chanel’s writing, producing, and directing just hits different. She’s worked in tech, TV, gaming, music, crypto, and cannabis. She also studied at Boston University (Psychology and African American Studies), George Washington University (Political Psychology), Howard University (Master of Social Psychology), and is a proud Howard University Social Psychology PhD dropout.
